HAWKESBURY UPTON HALL COMMITTEE

Minutes of  Meeting
Held on Monday 14th April 2008

1. Apologies
Apologies were received from:  Sam Allen, Fiona steeds, Sue Herod, Peter Webb, Sara White

2. Previous Minutes  
The minutes of the previous meeting were signed as a true record.


3. Matters Arising

Kitchen re-vamp
 - ongoing.  MB has a brochure of new fronts for units to pass on to NF and CR. MB Also tried getting a quote from MFI but no response, MB to chase other suppliers.
Checklist – ongoing CE
Playground bin – ongoing MB to order key version.
Drama quote – ongoing.  
        Energy Audit – Agreed to try and read the oil tank and electric meters on a monthly basis and pass to the Energy group.
        Village of the Year – AS to contact Louise and find out what is going on and if she needs anymore help from us.
        Simplefundraising – SA still working on letter promoting website.  AS to send round his proposed letter to put in the Parish Mag.
        Parish Mag Item – ongoing re leaving areas clean and tidy in recycle areas etc…
        Basket ball net  -  ongoing CE


4. Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer’s Report was distributed and no comments made.


5 Emergency Lighting/Fire Bells/Extinguishers
All OK.


6. Playground Check
Tiles needs cleaning in the play area, suggest jet washing again.


7. Correspondence

Gardening Club have requested a link on our website to their new website.



8. Any Other Business

Teenagers kicking footballs round back of Hall at windows, CE suggest any damage they should pay, need to keep an eye on this.
Composting lorry has again carved up the rec, Pat to speak to Steve Dagger.
CE suggest we revisit extension on back of hall, for elderly access etc plus perhaps a new plant room to assist sustainable energy etc.
Flye party left the hall in a very good state, only issue was the rear stage fire door not secured correctly.
Miranda Baldwin has booked a party for small kids with roller skates, committee were not happy for this to go ahead due to the potential damage to the hall floor.
CE has suggested a price increase, MB suggested we OK at the moment and no need for an increase.


9. Date of next meeting
The date of the next meeting will be Monday 12 May 2008 at 7.45pm.
There being no further business the meeting was closed at 2030 hrs.
