Minutes of the Last Meeting
These
were agreed as a true record.
Angelo
welcomed Phil Dennett to the meeting. He
is interested in joining the Committee as a Village Representative.
Projects
·
Car
Park – no
update - Vernon Chappell is on holiday.
·
Upstairs
Room – Mark to chase up flooring. Pete was concerned that this was taking a
long time. Angelo continuing to find new
lighting. Neil suggested using the same
lighting as has been put in the shop. He
will follow up.
·
Windows
– We have the correct sizes now and need new quotes. Angelo
is arranging for one.
·
Stage
Doors – Window quote to include stage doors.
·
Constitution
– Chris and Kate explained our situation to Parish Council. Some
of the missing documents have come to light (but not Deed document). Kate has scanned these and will email to
Angelo. Chris and Kate will meet with
Dick Whittington for further advice on how to proceed. (Phil has expertise in
this area and is willing to attend).
Finance

Treasurer’s
Report - Bill was not at the meeting but had
distributed the report. Angelo said that
we haven’t paid for the outside lights yet (approx. £1000). Neil asked why we do not top up the
Improvement Fund.

Parish
Council Report - No
report.
·
Fees
– Chris is still working on this.
Income
·
Bookings
– No extra bookings until September. Lorraine sent round a Survey for people to
look at. It was easy and quick to use
but Angelo thinks we might be able to find a better one from Google. Jane will liaise with Lorraine on this.
·
Car
Park – Neil collected £11 for parking.
·
Marketing
– Angelo will ask Mel for an update on the August 27th
Event.
Maintenance
·
Chris has done Meter Readings and Logs.
·
Maintenance Working Party – 22nd July
at 10am. One of the swings is broken – Neil has tied it up so it can’t be
used. Also a supporting bar on the
swings needs attention. Angelo and Neil
will look at this. Chris has been in
touch with Wickstead. It was suggested
we put up a warning sign. Angelo and
Neil have looked at the loose tiles and think these can be repaired. Fiona to ask Parish Council if they have
received the RoSPA report.
Play
Area/Skatepark Report
Rebecca emailed to advise that the Park group is meeting on
Wednesday night. They are planning to have a fundraising stall at the
Hawkesbury show. She also highlighted
the issue of the swings. Chris has let
her know that this is in hand.
Risk
Assessment
Angelo has ordered a sign for the Stage
Door Fire Exit.
Emergency
Lighting/Fire Bells – Chris has done these.
Correspondence
Email from Sue Hope confirming that Hawkesbury Recreational
Field has been accepted as having Local Green Space Designation. Fiona to distribute this so that people can
look at it on the website.
Any
Other Business
Stephanie reported that Pre-school have
not yet organized their Shed.
