Firstly welcome to two new enthusiasts, Nick Robson and Bruce French
ALL to read existing top ten and see if we need any changes due to Sara's companies top 10 list:
Switch lights off when you leave a room
Use low energy light bulbs
Install thermostatic radiator valves
Loft insulation should ideally be 200mm thick
Use draft strips
Install cavity wall insulation (if property has cavity walls!)
A condensing boiler offers the best way to save energy
Turn appliances off and avoid standby
Wash laundry at 30ºC
Catering
NR agreed to manage the catering on the 4th but will link up with Jes and myself.
NR to check if Colin may can provide some rolls and bacon
NR to check with the Shop (Ann) to see what they can provide on a sale or return basis.
Marketing & Flyer Distribution
RP to contact Wotton Cinema to see if they would take some Flyers
RP to look at F.O.E. for article/distribution
RP to contact Liz Howard re Village distribution of Flyers
All to look at schedule
BF Suggested a better name for the group 'Sustainable Hawkesbury' all agreed this should be used from now on.
NR to contact Didmarton garage, Kings Arms, plus other?
NR to contact Alternate Energy - West Wales for information and leaflets etc
SW to contact Didmarton Villager Hall
AS to investigate a Podcast for the day.
SH to contact The Dog pub, garage, shop plus use Focus group for distribution at Wickwar and possibly at Horton and at Tresham. Also to investigate the use of the freebee Observer in Yate and the S.Glos Website.
SH to provide contact details to SW of Gazette, Evening Post, Observer
SW to promote to Junior Cricket Presentation.
Also need to look at Yate Library, CAB, One Stop Shop, and Post Office.
SH to try and get more light bulbs from S.Glos
MS offered the facility of Props to make us a banner; he will check the cost and get back to us.
SW to see the school about creating an Energy Poster for the day or for another Energy Project.
