Minutes of Meeting

1. Apologies
Apologies received from Sara White, Hilary Rogers, Terry Gardener, Chris Rispin and Gill Oliver
2. Previous Minutes
The Minutes of the previous meeting were amended as follows. Under Any Other Business the name Lyn “Keating” change to “Atherton”. Minutes were then signed as a true record.
3. Matters Arising
Hall Boundary – AS has emailed Planners – awaiting a reply.
Energy update – AS has had meeting with company who install wind turbines. They are confident planning permission would be granted. Awaiting another quote for heating system. Energy Awareness session will be held on 23 Jan in the Hall with plans and information on display.
Sports Equipment – ongoing.
Chair Cleaning – quote from Chris Webster of £2.85 per chair for 100 chairs. AS to ascertain if they will repair broken chairs. Committee agreed to go ahead.
Christmas Disco – was not well attended.
Gate – ongoing.
Electrical check – sensor has been fitted to outside light. PS reported that a WI member had stumbled on a pothole in the car park. It is hoped future accidents can be avoided now it is better lit. However AS to look at repairing pothole as precaution.
4. Treasurer’s Report
MB distributed the Report.
5. Emergency Lighting/Fire Bells/Extinguishers & Meter Readings
These have not been carried out due to TG’s illness. He will supply the readings when he is better.
6. Playground Check
TG to carry out when recovered.
7. Correspondence
Quote from Chris Webster re chair cleaning (see above).
8. Any Other Business
HURG have been offered a shed. PS asked if it could be put next to the Paddock Gate. OK so long as it won’t affect siting of Deer Roast on Show Day.
Christmas Tree shredding will be 9 January. PS asked to use kitchen for coffee etc.
MB advised that we have been given a new photocopier and asked if any village organisation would want the old one.
MB to organise signs for toilets.
10. Date of next meeting
The next meeting will be held on Monday 11 January 2010 at 7.45pm.
There being no further business the meeting was closed at 2030hrs.
